REQUIREMENTS FOR STUDYING IN CANADA
MEDICAL INSURANCE:
A medical insurance policy is obligatory during a visit to Canada. It is the student's responsibility to carry medical insurance.
A medical insurance policy from one's home country is sufficient if the stay is less than three (3) months.
If the stay is more than three (3) months the provincially-supported British Columbia Medical Services Plan (MSP) should be obtained, but it will not come into effect until three (3) months after application. During this time, the student must carry adequate alternate medical insurance, which may be obtained in the home country or from a private company in Canada.
IMMIGRATION LAWS:
If the stay is less than six (6) months
a tourist visa is sufficient.
If the stay is more than six (6) months
a student visa must be acquired in the country of origin at a Canadian Embassy prior to arrival in Canada. This must be shown to Immigration Control upon arrival.
CUSTODIAL SERVICES:
If the student is less than eighteen (18) years of age, we offer custodial (en loco parentis) services. For more information, contact us.
